REQUEST: <br />DATE: 2/19/15 <br />PHONE: 961-8560 <br />An ordinance to amend Ordinance 14-82, the Capital Budget, by adding an appropriation for Hilo Bayfront <br />Trails for $$345,743.00 and Federal Grant Receivable for $345,743.00. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The State Department of Land and Natural Resources has awarded the County of Hawaii Department of <br />parks and Recreation $345,743.00 to provide funding to construct a paved mutli-purpose path along Hilo <br />Bayfront. The one miles long trail will path through three County Parks: Mooheau Park, Hilo Bayfront Park <br />and Hilo Bayfront Soccer Fields. <br />The department requests that this bill be waived from Finance Committee and proceed <br />directly for Council's review to help expedite this project. <br />SIGNED: DATE: <br />Department Head <br />
