COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 128 15 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br />FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A <br />MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease <br />or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal <br />year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public works presently leases property at 81-6394 <br />Mamalahoa Highway, Kona, Hawaii, Tax Map Key: (3) 8-1-016:039 (por.) and the use <br />of a forty (40) foot storage container located on the site for the purpose of parking <br />vehicles, and for storage of equipment and supplies; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public works wishes to enter into a multi-year lease <br />agreement for additional office space consisting of two buildings and parking space <br />located on the same Tax Map Key parcel, and next to the property indicated above; now <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease <br />agreement for property located at 81-6394 Mamalahoa Highway, Kona, <br />Hawaii, Tax Map Key: (3) 8-1-016:039 (por.). <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
