No. 128-15 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 10:24 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No.128-15, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 128-15,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 208 <br /> dated March 12, 2015, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal <br /> year for a multi-year lease of real property. <br /> This Resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with the option of two <br /> five-year extensions for two buildings and parking space located next to the West Hawai`i Traffic <br /> Division's current facility, to be used by the Public Works Department at a cost of$6,000 per month. <br /> Public Works Traffic Division Chief Ron Thiel appeared before Your Committee, commented that <br /> this lease will provide the additional building and parking area for the Signs and Markings section of <br /> the Traffic Division, and that the location was next to St. John's Road in Captain Cook. <br /> Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation <br /> requiring the payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year shall be made or approved by resolution. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 128-15, and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> wb <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> EOFF X <br /> ILAGAN X <br /> KANUHA X <br /> ONISHI X c. �� �,,J <br /> PALEKA x KAREN EOFF, C A <br /> POINDEXTER X FC REPORT NO.: 16 <br /> WILLE X ADOPTED: APR 1 5 2015 <br />
