WHEREAS, the Hawaii State Association of Counties finds that <br /> <br /> the proposed legislation would enable the DLNR to continue <br /> implementation of a statewide trail and access program and <br /> facilitate the development of ecotourism ventures in Hawaii, <br /> resulting in a greater ability of the State to manage its natural <br /> and cultural resources and in the assurance of safe, recreational <br /> opportunities for the visitors and residents of the State of <br /> Hawaii; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Hawaii State Association of Counties <br /> that it hereby unanimously supports the attached legislation <br /> proposed by the State Department of Land and Natural Resources <br /> for insuring funding for the management, maintenance, and <br /> development of the Na Ala Hele program. <br /> INTRODUCED BY: <br /> RENE MANSHO <br /> President <br /> DENNIS NAKAMURA <br /> First Vice President <br /> RONALD KOUCHI <br /> Second Vice President <br /> AL SMITH <br /> Secretary/Treasurer <br /> -2- <br /> <br />
