Sako, via Communication No. 239 dated <br /> March 25, 2015, amends Ordinance No. 14-81, as amended, the Operating Budget for the <br /> County of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015. <br /> Discretionary Funds from District 9 will be used as a grant to Recycle Hawai`i to support, initiate and <br /> facilitate zero waste programs at District 9 public and charter schools. <br /> Revenue is increased as follows: <br /> Account No. Source Fund Amount <br /> 085.3609.11 Transfer from General Fund Solid Waste $ 10,000 <br /> Total $ 10,000 <br /> The above specified amount is appropriated to the following fund and expenditure account as follows: <br /> Account No. Function and Activity Fund Amount <br /> 085.601.5610.02 Recycling Programs-Cty OCE Solid Waste $ 10,000 <br /> (grant to Recycle Hawai`i,Zero Waste <br /> Programs—District 9) <br /> Total $ 10,000 <br /> Finance Director Deanna Sako appeared before Your Committee and commented that this bill was to <br /> put this money into the Solid Waste fund. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County departments must obtain the consent of the <br /> Council to enter into agreements with the Federal or State governments or any other public body or <br /> bodies respecting action to be taken pursuant to any powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and <br /> receive any funds or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to <br /> those powers. <br /> FC Report No. 23 <br />
