No. 266/Res.No. 166-15 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:01 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred <br /> Resolution No. 166-15, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 166-15,transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Katherine A. Garson, via <br /> Communication No. 266 dated March 23, 2015, accepts the dedication of Road Lot(12.5 feet wide <br /> Right-of-Way), being a portion of Allotment 14 of Holualoa land 2 partition (mauka section) being a <br /> portion of Royal Patent 4475, Land Commission Award 7713, Apana 43 to Victoria Kamamalu, <br /> Tax Map Key: 7-6-004-:059, situated at Holualoa 1 and 2, District of North Kona, Island of Hawai`i, from <br /> Millicent A. Grand, Successor Trustee of the Lillian U. Towata Revocable Living Trust dated <br /> January 24, 1999. <br /> The road lot contains an area of 1,657 square feet, and would be used for public road purposes. <br /> Council Chair Kanuha, who supports Resolution No. 166-15, stated that he wanted more information on <br /> Condition E of Ordinance No. 12-76, which requires an additional 12.5 feet wide Right-of-Way, along the <br /> property's Old Government Road frontage,to be dedicated to the County. He informed the Council that <br /> when this was proposed during Council in 1976,there was much discussion as to whether or not it should <br /> be in the ordinance; however, it was passed as an amendment. <br /> Deputy Corporation Counsel Katherine A.
