Stevens <br /> Request: A-la to RS-10 <br /> Tax Mangy: 6-5-7:25 <br /> The Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on December 5, 1996, voted to <br /> recommend for your approval the proposed legislative bill for approximately 49,700 square <br /> feet of land by changing the district classification from Agricultural (A-la) to Single Family <br /> Residential (RS-10). The property is located along the west side of Lindsey Road, <br /> approximately 250 north of the Waimea Park at Waimea, South Kohala, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone: <br /> In order to consider an area for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standards of the General Plan must be adequately addressed. It is <br /> only through such a comprehensive policy analysis approach that evaluations and <br /> decisions can be made to better time and stage developments to achieve quality growth. <br /> The implications of these evaluations and decisions must also be considered as they <br /> may have an impact on other similar areas of the County. <br /> The Change of Zone request from Agricultural-1 acre (A-la) to Single Family <br /> Residential (RS-10) zoned district will conform to the following goals, policies and <br /> standards of the Land Use Elements of the General Plan: <br /> <br />
