No. 547/Bill No. 115 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:35 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 115, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 115, transmitted by Council Member Valerie T. Poindexter, via Communication No. 547 <br /> dated October 20, 2015, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, of the Hawai`i County Code <br /> 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to parking. <br /> The bill amends Section 24-280 (No parking any time), by revising and repealing existing <br /> provisions and adding new provisions for portions of Ali`i Drive, Subsection (f), Kona. <br /> Council Chair Dru Kanuha questioned if the bill is an addition to the code and if it conforms <br /> to the existing no parking zones within Kailua-Kona, to which Public Works Civil Engineer <br /> Aaron Takaba clarified that the bill is a revision to the code and is needed to address community <br /> concerns and will update the existing no parking zones within Kailua Kona. <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and <br /> intent of Bill No. 115 and recommends its passage on first reading. <br /> lc <br /> AYES NOES -WS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND <br /> EOFF x PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> ILAGAN X <br /> KANUHA X 692-4114j. <br /> ONISHI X <br /> PALEKA x VALERIE T.
