COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 95 <br />ORDINANCE NO. S 108 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, OF THE <br />HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO SPEED <br />LIMITS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to relocate an existing speed limit sign <br />that is in the way of a property owner's future driveway. The relocation of the sign requires <br />updating the code to match adjustments in the field. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-257, Schedule 5, 35 mile <br />per hour limit, subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as <br />amended), is amended by revising existing item (11) as follows: <br />(11) Kawailani Street, from [mattkae-riirIus] a point one hundred sixty- <br />five feet east of Makani Circle to [Ko -`-els St-ree ]Highway 11. <br />SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255, Schedule 3, 25 mile per <br />hour limit, subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as <br />amended), is amended by adding the following and renumbering as required: <br />Kawailani Street, from its western terminus to a point one hundred <br />sixty-five feet east of Makani Circle. <br />SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br />underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br />underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 5. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance, is held- invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />
