The Hawai`i <br /> County Economic Opportunity Council, a nonprofit organization, has obtained funding to <br /> develop a self-sustainable botanical garden, visitor center and related uses on the sight, <br /> and has requested to lease a 2.263 acre portion for these purposes. The County of <br /> Hawai`i has no planned use of this area, also known as the "Old Job Corps" site. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to negotiate a 10-year lease <br /> of the real property described above (with renewal options for two additional 10-year <br /> terms) to the Hawai`i County Economic Opportunity Council. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Hamana Ventura from the <br /> Finance Department's Property Management Division at 961-8009. <br /> Deanna S.
