BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The County of Hawaii has control and management of the 24.947 acre parcel via Executive Order 3773. <br /> The Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC) has obtained funding to develop a self <br /> sustainable botanical garden, visitor center and related uses on the site and has requested to lease a 2.263 <br /> acre portion of EO 3773.
