She is the lead interpreter at the Kona Historical <br />Society's H.N. Greenwell Store and the Kailua Village Walking tour, and the Director of <br />KHS's Hanohano o Kona Lecture series. She will be serving as one of the two required <br />members of KVDC with knowledge of historic Kona, and its resources and cultural values. <br />Ms. Kern was confirmed to serve on this commission in January, 2015 to fill the remainder of <br />a term ending on December 31, 2015. Hawaii County Charter Section 13-4(c), stales that <br />..members of any board or commission appointed for a term of two years or less shall be <br />eligible to succeed themselves for an additional full term." If Ms. Kern is confirmed today, <br />she will serve a 3 -year term to end on December 31, 2018. <br />If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
