No. 609 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:58 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 609, reports as follows: <br /> Communication No. 609, submitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi dated December 15, 2015, nominates <br /> Ann Kern to the Kailua Village Design Commission for a three-year term to expire December 31, 2018. <br /> Ms. Kern was confirmed to serve on the commission in January 2015 to fill the remainder of a term <br /> ending on December 31, 2015. Pursuant to Section 13-4(c) of the Hawai`i County Charter, Ms. Kern is <br /> eligible to succeed herself, as she has been appointed for a term of"two years or less." <br /> Charmaine Shigemura, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi, introduced Ms. Kern, who was not able to <br /> attend this meeting.
