§ 25-5-54 HAWAII COUNTY CODE <br /> Section 25-5-54.Minimum building site area. <br /> The minimum building site area in the RA district shall be one-half acre.RA districts having larger <br /> areas may be designated in increments of one-half acre up to a recommended maximum of three acres. <br /> The recommended maximum does not specify an absolute upper limit for any building site in the RA <br /> district. <br /> (1996, Ord.No. 96-160, sec. 2; ratified April 6, 1999.) <br /> Section 25-5-55.Minimum building site average width. <br /> Each building site in the RA district shall have a minimum average width of one hundred feet for the <br /> first one-half acre of required area,plus twenty feet for each additional one-half acre of required area; <br /> provided that no building site shall be required to have an average width greater than three hundred feet. <br /> (1996,Ord.No. 96-160, sec. 2; ratified April 6, 1999.) <br /> Section 25-5-56.Minimum yards. <br /> Minimum yards in the RA district shall be as follows: <br /> (1) Front and rear yards,twenty-five feet; and <br /> (2) Side yards, fifteen feet. <br /> (1996,Ord.No. 96-160, sec. 2;ratified April 6, 1999.) <br /> Section 25-5-57.Other regulations. <br /> (a) If any legal building site in the RA district has an area less than one-half acre,then the yard and <br /> height requirements for the building site shall be the same as the yard requirements for the RS district. <br /> (b) Plan approval shall be required prior to the construction or installation of any new structure or <br /> development, or of any addition to an existing structure or development which is used for minor <br /> agricultural products processing. <br /> (c) An ohana dwelling may be located on any building site in the RA district, as permitted under article <br /> 6, division 3 of this chapter. <br /> (d) Exceptions to the regulations for the RA district regarding heights,building site areas,building site <br /> average widths and yards,may be approved by the commission within a planned unit development <br /> pursuant to article 6, division 1 of this chapter. <br /> (1996, Ord.No. 96-160, sec. 2; ratified April 6, 1999; Am. 2015,Ord.No. 15-33, sec. 4.) <br />
