BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Department of Research and Devleopment requests funding for a Bike Share pilot project. The goal of <br /> the Bike Share project is to provide residents and visitors with an alternative mode of transporation for short <br /> trips between points of interest, businesses and hotels. Having an option like Bike Share makes it safer, <br /> easier and more affordable to navigate our neighborhoods; while providing health, economic and <br /> environmental benefits for the broader community.
