REQUEST: <br /> Prepare County Council submittal authorizing the County of Hawaii Prosecutors Office to enter into a Fourth <br /> Extension and Amendment of Kealakekua Business Plaza Lease for a two year extension at the Kealakekua <br /> Business Plaza. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The County of Hawaii Prosecutors Office currently leases office space at the Kealakekua Business Plaza <br /> located at tax map key (3) 8-1-003:049 portion. The proposed lease amendment is for a two year period <br /> from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018. The current office space provides adequate space for the Prosecutors' <br /> current needs in terms of space and privacy for servicing victims and witnesses of crimes in West Hawaii, as <br /> well as victims and witnesses of crimes occuring in other areas but who may live in West Hawaii.
