Kashiwa <br /> Request: A-20a to A-3a <br /> Tax Man Kev: 7-3-2:2 <br /> The Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on December 5, 1996, voted to <br /> recommend for your approval the proposed legislative bill for approximately 15.253 acres of <br /> land by changing the district classification from Agricultural (A-20a) to Agricultural (A-3a). <br /> The property is located on the mauka side of Hawaii Belt Road across from Kona Coastview <br /> Subdivision at Kalaoa, North Kona, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone: <br /> In order to consider an area for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standards of the General Plan must be adequately addressed. It is <br /> only through such a comprehensive policy analysis approach that evaluations and <br /> decisions can be made to better time and stage developments to achieve growth <br /> determined by the General Plan and related planning documents. The implications of <br /> these evaluations and decisions must be also considered as they may have an impact on <br /> similar areas in the County. <br /> <br />
