KASHIWA, have submitted an application for a Change of Zone for approximately 15.253 acres of land by changing the district classification from Agricultural (A-20a) to Agricultural (A-3a). The property is located on the mauka side of Hawaii Belt Road across from Kona Coastview Subdivision at Kalaoa, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-3-2: 2. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Owner: Robert J. Henriques and Gregg R. Kashiwa are the fee owners of the subject property PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT 2. Request: The owners wish to subdivide the property into a total of five lots in 3 acres sizes. 3. Objectives: "Present zoning for the subject property is Ag 20. Applicants herein are requesting a change of zone to Ag 3 allowing three (3) acre agricultural lots. The area is an ideal agricultural location with opportunities to raise a multitude of agricultural products. Its present 15.25 acre size makes it unaffordable for users. Three (3) acre lots would bring prices within reach of a greater number of agricultural users, and thereby increase opportunities for potential buyers. The requested zoning designation does not change the usage of the land, nor will it change the chazacter of the neighborhood. It is consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan which shows agricultural usage for the lands in the area. The requested zoning is permitted by the County of Hawaii within an agricultural area." 4.
