OJNtY OF q,' <br /> 6 L- <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII `'''''`- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> OF OF`Nr� BILL NO. 143 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 16 25 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, OF THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION,AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> PARKING. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to address concerns caused by cars <br /> parking on the shoulder of Highway 190, creating pedestrian safety concerns and limited <br /> visibility for area residents exiting their driveways. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28 (No <br /> parking at anytime) subsection (e), Kohala, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as <br /> amended) is amended by adding the new item below and renumbering as required: <br /> ( ) Highway 190 (Mamalahoa Highway), southeast side, from a point <br /> one thousand one hundred ninety feet southwest of Lindsey Road <br /> and extending three hundred thirty feet in the northeasterly <br /> direction. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance,the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br /> application, and to this end,the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br /> SECTION 5.
