OJNtY OF q,' 6 L- COUNTY OF HAWAII `'''''`- STATE OF HAWAII OF OF`Nr� BILL NO. 143 ORDINANCE NO. 16 25 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION,AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to address concerns caused by cars parking on the shoulder of Highway 190, creating pedestrian safety concerns and limited visibility for area residents exiting their driveways. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28 (No parking at anytime) subsection (e), Kohala, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended) is amended by adding the new item below and renumbering as required: ( ) Highway 190 (Mamalahoa Highway), southeast side, from a point one thousand one hundred ninety feet southwest of Lindsey Road and extending three hundred thirty feet in the northeasterly direction. SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance,the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end,the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
