The property is located <br /> along the north side of Pahoa Village Road, about 230 feet northwest of Akeakamai Loop, <br /> Nanawale Homesteads, Pahoa, Puna, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicants are requesting a Change of Zone from Single-Family Residential - <br /> 10,000 square feet(RS-l0) to Village Commercial - 10,000 square feet(CV-10) for <br /> approximately 17,994 square feet of land in order to develop an approximately 2,400- <br /> square foot commercial building to be used as an internet coffee shop and for retail <br /> businesses. The applicants plan to relocate the internet coffee shop they currently own <br /> and operate in downtown Pahoa, about 150 yards from the subject property. The existing <br /> space is too small, does not have a public restroom and does not have enough parking <br /> Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
