The property is located at the southwest end of Hoohoaloha Street, approximately <br /> 1,500 feet south from its intersection with Ainaola Drive, Waiakea Homestead 2nd Series, South <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant is requesting a change of zone from an Agricultural-3 acre(A-3a) <br /> zoned district to a Family Agricultural-1 acre(FA-1a) zoning district for 3.576 acres of <br /> land in order to subdivide the property into 3 lots, which will be conveyed to members of <br /> the applicant's family. <br /> In order to consider an area for any type of zoning designation, the applicable <br /> goals, policies and standards of the General Plan must be adequately addressed.
