17. Historical/Cultural/Archaeological Resources: According to the applicant, as the site <br /> has been previously bulldozed and cleared no commissioned archaeological survey of the <br /> site was made. A request for comments was sent to the Department of Land and Natural <br /> Resources-State Historic Preservation Division(DLNR-SHPD) on February 2, 2016 from <br /> the Planning Department. As of the date of this writing, the Planning Department has not <br /> received a response. <br /> 18. Public Access: There is no record of a designated public access to the shoreline or <br /> mountain areas that traverses the properties. <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 19. Access: Access to the property is from an existing 20-foot easement with a paved road <br /> that connects to Ho`ohoaloha Street, which is a County owned and maintained street that <br /> has a 20-foot wide pavement road with paved shoulders and swales within a 50-foot <br /> right-of-way and in good condition. <br /> 20. Water: County water is available from an existing 6-inch waterline fronting the subject <br /> property. <br /> 21. Wastewater System: There is no municipal sewer system available in the area. <br /> Wastewater will be disposed of through individual wastewater system(s)meeting with <br /> the State Department of Health <br /> 22. Solid Waste: Solid waste will be disposed of at an authorized landfill in Hilo. <br /> 23. Essential Utilities and Services: Electrical, telephone and cable services are available to <br /> the property. Police services are located in downtown Hilo, about 4 miles from the <br /> property.
