BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it . <br /> hereby joins the "Cities for the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination <br /> Against Women" campaign. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of Hawai`i is urged to affirm the tenets <br /> and principles of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against <br /> Women, as stated in Exhibit A. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of Hawaii is urged to work with the <br /> Hawai`i State Commission on the Status of Women and the County of Hawai`i's Committee on <br /> the Status of Women to perform an analysis on gender equality in the County of Hawai`i, which <br /> will include the examination of race, disability, immigration status, sexual orientation, and other <br /> demographic characteristics that are linked to gender. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this <br /> resolution to the Honorable Mayor William P.
