REQUEST: <br /> We are requesting the Council's permission to accept $110,000.00 from the Department of Health Alcohol <br /> and Drug Abuse Division (ADAD). The Office of the Prosecutor, through the competitive process, is receiving <br /> the award for FY 2017 in the amount of$110,000. <br /> The funds will be utilized to provide County Coordination for a Substance Abuse Prevention System. <br /> Requesting to amend Ordinance 16-72 as amended, the Operating Budget for The County of Hawaii for the <br /> fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2017 <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> We would like to increase revenues for 010.3309.37 "Federal Grant - Substance Abuse Prevention <br /> Coordination" by $110,000 and appropriate $110,000 to the following fund and expenditure account <br /> 010.271.5272.02 "Substanced Abuse Prevention Coordination". <br /> The grant money is to be used for community organizing, evaluation and planning of a substance abuse <br /> prevention system within the County of Hawaii.
