Kenoi dated September 27, 2016, nominates <br /> Yumi T. Kawano to the Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee, for a four-year term to <br /> end on December 20, 2020. <br /> Ms. Kawano was introduced by Ilihia Gionson, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kenoi. <br /> Speaking by videoconference from Hilo, Ms. Kawano said she felt honored to be able to serve. She said <br /> she was looking forward to understanding all of Puna's needs. <br /> Ms. Wille said she would support the nomination and is glad to see the Puna CDP Action Committee is <br /> being filled. <br /> Mr. Paleka thanked Ms. Kawano for her service. He said her background was very impressive and he <br /> wished her the best. Mr. Paleka said there is a lot of work to be done in the Puna area. <br /> Mr. Ilagan said he is glad to have a Volcano Village resident on the Action Committee. <br /> Ms. Kawano was informed that she is not required to be present for Council confirmation. <br /> Your Committee on Planning is in accord with the purpose and intent of Communication No. 1096, and <br /> recommends confirmation of the appointment of Yumi T.
