This appointment was effective at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 5, <br /> 2016. <br /> Until recently, Ms. Ley was the State Executive Director of the United States Department of <br /> Agriculture Farm Service Agency for Hawai'i and the Pacific Basin. Ms. Ley also served four years as <br /> the Deputy Director at the Department of Research and Development for the County of Hawai'i. Ms. <br /> Ley's experience in this field exceeds two decades. Her resume is attached for your information. <br /> Ms. Ley will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 7, 2020. <br /> Pursuant to Rule 5(6)(g) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of <br /> Hawai'i, we respectfully request a waiver of this nomination through committee so that it may be <br /> considered by the full County Council on January 5, 2017.
