STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> '.. ...-.-..-=_-_-_tj i <br /> 'ATE O�F•„�,• : <br /> BILL NO. 267 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 17 10 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, OF THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the 35 mile per hour speed <br /> limit on Kuakini Highway due to health and safety concerns as a new development is being <br /> planned on Tax Map Key No. (3) 7-5-017:005. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-257, Schedule 5, 35 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection (f), Kona, be amended by revising item (8) as follows: <br /> (8) Kuakini Highway, from a point [five hundred feet south(mauka) of <br /> the Ala Keanawai intersection to a point] four hundred feet south of <br /> Hualalai Road[:] to the property line between the parcels identified <br /> as Tax Map Key Numbers (3) 7-5-017:005 and (3) 7-5-017:002. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or <br /> application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
