WHEREAS, BIRCD is requesting funds to offset costs for vehicle transportation and <br />meals for the Parangal Dance Company; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br />service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Research and Development to provide a grant to the Big Island Resource Conservation and <br />Development Council to assist with expenses related to vehicle transportation and meals for the <br />Parangal Dance Company. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $ 2,500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.161.5161.60 Dept. of Research and Development <br />Tourism Promotion <br />115 Misc.
