Vie.:•• <br />+r�t�•oi •N�,�► <br />RESOLUTION NO. 131 17 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE 2017 COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII ACTION PLAN FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO <br />EXECUTE AND SUBMIT THE ACTION PLAN AND ALL OTHER <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT <br />OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is a direct recipient of federal Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds from the United States Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and <br />WHEREAS, it is required by HUD that the County submit a <br />Consolidated/Action Plan, in accordance with Subpart C of 24 CFR Part 91, which <br />includes housing and homeless needs assessments, a housing market analysis, five- <br />year goals and priorities, and project monitoring procedures; and <br />WHEREAS, the Consolidated Plan is a five (5) year (2015-2019) plan that <br />indicates the County's goals and priorities for the use of CDBG and HOME funds for <br />housing, homeless, special needs and community development; and <br />WHEREAS, it is required by HUD that before the County of Hawaii receives <br />its annual CDBG allocation, the County shall submit its yearly Action Plan as required <br />by the Consolidated Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Action Plan is a yearly plan that includes the actual projects <br />and activities that will be carried out with the County's CDBG funds; and <br />
