Mr. Olson has been a resident of Hawaii for <br /> over 39 years. He is a retired business owner building, repairing, and sales of small <br /> boats and recreational vessels. Currently, Mr. Olson is a very active member of our <br /> island community and volunteers in numerous organization including the Pahoa <br /> Mainstreet Association, Sierra Club, Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the Pahoa Regional <br /> Town Center Planning Committee. Mr. Olson states that "littering & dumping has had <br /> significant negative impact on my community" and has spearheaded many different <br /> clean-up efforts including initiating the Abandoned Vehicle and Recycle Hawaii projects. <br /> Mr. Olson is a member of the Democratic party.
