He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1963-1969. <br /> He is also a Vietnam Veteran and member of the Disabled American Veterans Kona <br /> Chapter#7. <br /> Mr. Hanato retired as a businessman and was a proprietor of Hanato Tofu Factory for <br /> many years. He was also worked as a farmer, welder, and bartender. <br /> Mr. Hanato is an active member of our community volunteering countless hours to <br /> various veterans organizations especially with the Disabled American Veterans <br /> organization. Mr. Hanato is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. <br /> Mr. Hanato states he is not affiliated with any political party.
