REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> DATE: June 22, 2017 Re: Comm.No. 323/Bill No. 45 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:37 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred Bill 45, reports <br /> as follows: <br /> Bill 45, transmitted by Public Works Director Frank De Marco, via Communication 323, dated <br /> March 26, 2017, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 <br /> (2016 Edition, as amended),relating to parking. <br /> The bill amends Schedule 28 (No parking at anytime), Subsection(c), South Hilo by revising an <br /> existing provision for a portion of Haihai Street. <br /> Council Member Susan Lee Loy explained that there were changes on Haihai Street with the opening <br /> of the Fire Station and thecreation of new off-street parking for the Hilo Municipal Golf Course.
