Mr. Higgins is a retired stockbroker after 44 years of employment. He <br /> also retired as Chair of the Kona Hospital Foundation after 25 years of service. <br /> Originally from Oahu, Mr. Higgins has lived on Hawai'i Island since 1973. <br /> Mr. Higgins graduated from Punahou School and obtained a BS Degree in Economics <br /> from the University of Pennsylvania. He also served 3 years in the US Navy. Prior to <br /> his retirement, Mr. Higgins volunteered his time to many community events and <br /> organizations, including football coach for Konawaena High School, the Rotary Club, <br /> the Water Commission, and many more. <br /> Mr. Higgins states that he is not affiliated with any political party.
