No. 375/Bill No. 58 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:02 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred Bill 58, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Bill 58, transmitted by Frank DeMarco, Director of Public Works, via Communication 375 dated <br /> July 6, 2017, amends Chapter 24, Article 10 Division 1, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 <br /> (2016 Edition, as amended), relating to Speed Limits. Bill 58 amends Schedule 3 (25 mile per <br /> hour limit) and Schedule 5 (35 mile per hour limit) Subsection(g), Puna,by increasing the speed <br /> limit from 25 to 35 miles per hour for a portion of South Kopua Road. <br /> Committee Chair Ruggles pointed out that residents of Eden Roc subdivision and South Kopua <br /> Road support this measure.
