A2017-BH00250, Exhibit"I" <br /> During the design phase of the project, we've encoutered some unforseen design delays <br /> that delayed the submittal process. On December 20, 2016, Egineering Partners was <br /> notifed that there was a concern from the Traffic Division regarding the moving of <br /> existing street lights at the corner of the development. The discussion was resolved on <br /> January 12, 2017 with a letter from the Traffic Division. <br /> I've worked through an earnest attempt to comply with the current deadline set forth <br /> by the previous Change of Zone Ordinance from the inception of acquiring the property <br /> in December 2016. I would sincerely request consideration from the Planning <br /> Commision and the County Council to extend the deadline for constuction completion <br /> an additional 5 years, or what the County Council deems a reasonable amount of time <br /> to complete the construction stated in Ordinance No 07136, dtd. October 15, 2007. As I <br /> await permit approval, it is in my sincere interest to proceed quickly into construction <br /> and with no known delays, it is my earnest attempt to have the construction completed <br /> well before a 5-year extention. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Rodney Tanaka <br /> Owner—Hawaii Spring Supply Warehouse <br />
