Harano of Council District 7 to the salary <br /> commission. Mr. Harano is currently employed as a tax manager for Aloha Business <br /> Services, Inc. in Kailua-Kona. He previously worked as a senior tax accountant and a <br /> small business owner in Washington state for many years. <br /> Mr. Harano was born and raised in Kona and is a graduate of Konawaena High School. <br /> He obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting from UH <br /> Manoa and a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University, Seattle campus. <br /> Mr. Harano recently returned home after living on the mainland for over 20 years and <br /> states that he would like to volunteer his time to be a voice for his community. He was <br /> active in Seattle having served as a Boy Scout scoutmaster, Board of Director for the <br /> Seattle Buddhist Temple, and Treasurer for the Wisteria View Housing. <br /> Mr. Harano is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve an unfilled <br /> term ending December 31, 2017 and will subsequently be eligible for re-appointment to <br /> a full 5-year term. <br /> Should you have any questions, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
