He recently served as the Kauai Mayor's Administrator for <br /> Boards and Commissions. Prior to running for public office, Mr. Furfaro spent over 40 <br /> years in hotel management having worked with the Princeville Corporation, Radisson, <br /> Outrigger Hotels, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, and Westin, to name a few. <br /> Mr. Furfaro is also a former director of the Kauai Museum, member of the Kauai County <br /> Planning Commission, Kauai Historical Society, Habitat for Humanity, and many more. <br /> He also founded several non-profit organizations including Leadership Kauai and <br /> Hospitality Concepts, an asset survey company that honors land and heritage. <br /> Mr. Furfaro was born and raised in Waianae, Oahu. Most of his adult life was spent in <br /> Kauai where he married, worked, and raised his family. He recently relocated to the Big <br /> Island after the passing of his wife and to live closer to his children and grandchildren. <br /> Mr. Furfaro states he is a registered Democrat.
