. . <br /> r- <br /> ......„YOFM , <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -• ,N °=,. • <br /> '111I` STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 361. 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS FOR INCLUSION IN <br /> THE 2018 HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES LEGISLATIVE <br /> PACKAGE. <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting on September 11, 2017,the HSAC Executive Committee <br /> approved for inclusion in the 2018 Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) Legislative <br /> Package, five proposals submitted by the County of Kaua`i, two proposals from the County of <br /> Maui, and 10 proposals that are being carried over from the 2017 HSAC Legislative Package; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, each proposal must be approved by all four Councils to be included in the <br /> 2018 HSAC Legislative Package, which will be presented to the Hawai`i State Legislature when <br /> it convenes in January 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS, timely action is necessary for all Counties to approve proposals to be <br /> included in the final package; and <br /> WHEREAS, proposals submitted by the Counties are listed below and copies of the <br /> proposed bills are attached hereto as Exhibit A: <br /> 1. A Bill For An Act Relating to Zoning (Proposed by County of Kaua`i) <br /> 2. A Bill For An Act Relating to Taxation; Income Tax Credit For Hiring An Individual <br /> with a Disability (Proposed by the County of Kauai) <br /> 3. A Bill For An Act Relating to Taxation; Income Tax Credit For Hiring An Elderly <br /> Individual (Proposed by the County of Kauai) <br /> 4. A Bill For An Act Relating to Transient Accommodations Tax (Proposed by the <br /> County of KauaV <br /> 5. A Bill For An Act Relating to Automatic Fire Suppression Systems (Proposed by the <br /> County of KauaV <br /> 6. A Bill For An Act Relating to the Conveyance Tax (Proposed by Maui County <br /> Council) <br /> 7.
