No. 886 <br /> PLACE: Kailua-Kona,Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:07 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety and Mass Transit,to which was referred Communication No. 886, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Communication 886, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated April 6, 2018, nominates <br /> Dwayne T. Mukai to the Liquor Control Adjudication Board. <br /> Mr. Mukai attended Hilo High School graduating in 1974 and went on to receive his BBA in <br /> Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1978. He is currently the owner of <br /> Mukai Investment Group and had previously been a manager and financial advisor at Morgan <br /> Stanley. <br /> Mr. Mukai is currently a member of the United States Selective Services Board and has recently <br /> served five years on the Liquor Commission including one as its Chairman. Before that, he <br /> served five years on the Water Board. <br /> Mr. Mukai has lived in Hawaii his entire life and currently resides in Hilo. If confirmed, <br /> he will serve.a full term that expires December 31, 2022. Mr. Mukai was in the Kona Chambers <br /> and was told he did not have to appear at the next Council meeting for confirmation of his <br /> appointment. <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety and Mass Transit is in accord with the purpose and intent of <br /> Communication 886, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Dwayne T.
