STATE OF HAWAII <br /> AA <br /> *irlii.#:41;;": <br /> . <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 619 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL <br /> PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i Department of Public Works ("DPW") currently rents <br /> parking and storage space for its facility in Kealakekua, identified as a portion of TMK: <br /> (3) 8-1-016-039, situated at 81-6394 Hawai`i Belt Road, Kealakekua, County and State of Hawai`i, <br /> from the Estate of Ole Eigel Jensen and Elaine Marie Jensen ("Landlord"); and <br /> WHEREAS, DPW continues to need this parking and storage space for the near future and so <br /> desires to enter into a multi-year lease agreement commencing on August 1, 2018, and ending <br /> April 30, 2020, with the option to renew the lease for two (2) additional five (5) year terms with <br /> Landlord; and <br /> WHEREAS, DPW is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease <br /> agreement with Landlord for parking and storage space; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawai`i, is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year <br /> Lease with the Estate of Ole Eigel Jensen and Elaine Marie Jensen, for a term beginning <br /> August 1, 2018, and ending April 30, 2020, with the option to renew the lease for two (2) additional <br /> five (5) year terms, at the monthly rate of seven hundred and 00/100 ($700.00). <br />
