No. 619-18 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:15 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 619-18, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution 619-18, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 944 dated <br /> May 16, 2018, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for <br /> a multi-year lease of real property for the County of Hawai`i Department of Public Works. <br /> This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement with an option for two <br /> additional five-year terms with the Estate of Ole Eigel Jensen and Elaine Marie Jensen, at a monthly cost <br /> of$700 to allow the Traffic Division the continued occupancy of parking and storage space located at <br /> 81-6394 Hawai`i Belt Road, Kealakekua. <br /> Traffic Division Chief Ron Thiel explained that Public Works has been leasing the building for several <br /> years and noted that the parking is a separate lease. <br /> Property Manger Hamana Ventura stated that having available warehouse, facilities, adequate parking, <br /> and the ability to utilize this property to its full capacity would be beneficial as to what the County is <br /> trying to accomplish. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 619-18, and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> dmm <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> EOFF X <br /> KANUHA X <br /> LEE LOY X11140100 <br /> r!!"O'HARA X 411113 <br /> POINDEXTER x MAILE DAVID, CHAIR <br /> RICHARDS X FC REPORT NO.: 122 <br /> RUGGLES X ADOPTED: iUN 1 9 2(118 <br />
