Mr. Donev is a first year college;student <br /> at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo where he will study mathematics and computer <br /> science. He states he is interested in becoming a GMAC commissioner as he would <br /> like to-bring `°a balanced perspective to the topics of subsistence hunting while ensuring <br /> the Commission 'addresses the needs of the community in regards to its mission". <br /> Mr. Donev is a graduate of the Hawai'i Preparatory Academy where he graduated with <br /> honors in 2017 and subsequently worked as an astrophysics intern with Canada- <br /> France-Hawai'i Telescope in Waimea. He is an active member of his community and <br /> has volunteered with the Waimea Community Park, Kohala Watershed Partnership <br /> doing rainforest restoration, Hawai'i Ocean Film Festival, and many more. <br /> Mr. Donev was born in Los Angeles, raised in Bulgaria, and has lived in Hawai'i for the <br /> past 6 years.
