The properties are <br />located about 608 feet west of the intersection of Mohouli Street and Komohana Street in the <br />Waidkea Cane Lots, Waidkea, South Hilo, Hawaii. <br />The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br />favorable consideration of the requests: <br />The applicant, the Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation <br />(HICDC), is requesting a State Land Use Boundary Amendment from Agricultural to <br />Urban for 9.379 acres of land, which is the current site of Phases 1 and 2 of the Mohouli <br />Heights Senior Neighborhood Project, which aims to provide affordable housing and <br />related senior services in South Hilo, made available by Governor's Executive Order <br />No. 4224. <br />Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
