The actual funding provided however, is <br /> $720,000 and will be used towards retrofitting hurricane shelters and key County facilities, <br /> providing upgrades to the Hawai`i County emergency operations center, to continue coordination <br /> and collaboration with the island's community and to provide CERT training. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing the appropriation <br /> of the Civil Defense Agency's State Homeland Security Program FY18 account, bringing the total <br /> appropriation to $720,000. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call Talmadge Magno, Civil Defense <br /> Administrator at 935-0031. <br /> Deanna S.
