Arakaki <br /> and Members of the County Council <br /> County of Hawaii <br /> Hilo, HI 96720 <br /> Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members: <br /> Upon the request of Mayor Minoru Ishizaka of Ika_~o-Machi and <br /> the Hawaii Island Japanese Community Association, we are <br /> endorsing and seek the Council's approval in establishing a <br /> sister-city relationship with Ikaho-Machi, Japan. <br /> To this effect, the following documents are enclosed in support <br /> of this proposal: <br /> • Resolution No. 16 as required by Ordinance 93-102. <br /> • Draft of the Agreement between Mssrs. Yamashiro and Ishizaka <br /> providing covenants regarding the sisterhood. (English and <br /> Japanese documents will he signed.) <br /> • Draft of Service Agreement between the County of Hawaii and <br /> the Hawaii Island Japanese Community Association. <br /> • Data sheet describing Zkaho-Machi. <br /> Upon approval of the Resolution, both agreements will be <br /> finalized and prepared for a formal signing agreement ceremony <br /> at the next appropriate occasion.
