D~a~~ <br /> ~.~~~or <br /> SISTER-CITY <br /> SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> At the mutual consent between the County of Hawaii and the <br /> Hawaii Island Japanese Community Association, it is agreed that <br /> the aforementioned parties hereby enter into a "SERVICE <br /> AGREEMENT" for the purpose of maintaining and sustaining a <br /> viable and meaningful sister-city relationship between the <br /> County of Hawaii and Ikaho-Machi, Japan. <br /> This SERVICE AGREEMENT shall be in conformance with <br /> Resolution dated and Ordinance 93-102 <br /> dated October 8, 1993. <br /> It is hereby attested that the undersigned parties shall, to <br /> the best of their respective ability, agree to the following <br /> covenants, to wit: <br /> COUNTY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> • Initiate and coordinate the planning of visitations to <br /> Ikaho-Machi; said visitations are recommended to occur <br /> <br /> ' once every five years as stated in Ordinance 93-102. <br /> • Accord mailing services as requested by the Hawaii <br /> Island Japanese Community Association. <br /> • Provide and/or share entertainment, meal and <br /> logistical expenses. <br /> • Provide and/or share expenses for gifts, mementos, <br /> leis, etc. <br /> • Transmit the County's annual report, applicable <br /> brochures, other documents of interest, and video <br /> tapes as appropriate. <br /> • Document visitations to include a pictorial account of <br /> important events in the relationship. <br /> <br />
