The seventh WHEREAS clause is amended to read as follows: <br /> "WHEREAS, the County Council finds that the fuel tax should be decreased by <br /> [nine] eight cents per gallon for fiscal year 2019-2020, thereby making the aggregate <br /> County of Hawai`i fuel tax on liquid fuel at [44-] 15 cents per gallon for fiscal year 2019- <br /> 2020; now, therefore," <br /> 4. The enacting clause is amended to read as follows: <br /> "BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that it does hereby fix, determine, and set the amount of the County of Hawai`i fuel tax <br /> on liquid fuel to be levied and collected by the Department of Taxation of the State of <br /> Hawai`i, in accordance with law, at [4-4] 15 cents per gallon for fiscal years 2018-2019 <br /> and 2019-2020 for diesel on-highway and gasoline on-highway to be in effect going <br /> forward in subsequent years, unless and until otherwise provided by another resolution <br /> adopted as provided above." <br /> For illustrative purposes, a copy of the draft resolution that would result if these proposed <br /> amendments were adopted is attached with the amendments incorporated therein. <br /> Thank you for your attention to this matter. <br /> Mahalo. <br /> • <br /> HTR/dbk <br /> Att. <br /> 2 <br />
