• 17. Traffic: Traffic generated by a 4,000-square foot retail/office building is estimated to • generate about 6 peak hour trips during the a.m./p.m. peak periods. PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES 18. Access: Access is from Kamana Street fronting the northern boundary of the property. Kamana Street is a County owned and maintained roadway with a 25-foot wide pavement in good condition and approximately 6-foot wide paved and grassed shoulders within a 60-foot right-of-way. The Department of Public Works previously commented that access should not be permitted from Kino`ole Street to the subject property and that improvements along Kamana Street should include construction of commercial standard curb, gutter and sidewalk along with pavement widening and transition. 19. Water: County water can be made available to the site from an existing 8-inch waterline within Kino`ole Street and from an existing 6-inch line within Kamana Street. 20. Wastewater: The property is located in an area that the Department of Health has ,designated as a Critical Wastewater Disposal Area. The property will connect to the existing public sewer system. 21. Solid Waste: Solid waste will be disposed at the Hilo landfill. 22. Essential Utilities and Services: Electricity and telephone are available on the property.
