• 17. Traffic: Traffic generated by a 4,000-square foot retail/office building is estimated to • <br /> generate about 6 peak hour trips during the a.m./p.m. peak periods. <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 18. Access: Access is from Kamana Street fronting the northern boundary of the property. <br /> Kamana Street is a County owned and maintained roadway with a 25-foot wide pavement <br /> in good condition and approximately 6-foot wide paved and grassed shoulders within a <br /> 60-foot right-of-way. The Department of Public Works previously commented that <br /> access should not be permitted from Kino`ole Street to the subject property and that <br /> improvements along Kamana Street should include construction of commercial standard <br /> curb, gutter and sidewalk along with pavement widening and transition. <br /> 19. Water: County water can be made available to the site from an existing 8-inch waterline <br /> within Kino`ole Street and from an existing 6-inch line within Kamana Street. <br /> 20. Wastewater: The property is located in an area that the Department of Health has <br /> ,designated as a Critical Wastewater Disposal Area. The property will connect to the <br /> existing public sewer system. <br /> 21. Solid Waste: Solid waste will be disposed at the Hilo landfill. <br /> 22. Essential Utilities and Services: Electricity and telephone are available on the property. <br /> Police, fire and medical services are available in Hilo. <br /> AGENCIES' COMMENTS <br /> 23.
