These federally-derived funds will allow the Department to <br /> increase its ability to extricate victims from vehicular crashes. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution accepting this grant award. Also enclosed is a bill for an <br /> ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $96,943 grant. <br /> The Hawai`i Fire Department is requesting that this resolution and bill be waived from <br /> the Finance Committee and be placed on the February 20, 2019 Council agenda in order <br /> to expedite the receipt of these funds.
