Complete <br /> Streets is a nation-wide program to help local jurisdictions design, build and operate streets which <br /> enable safe access for all users, including pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit riders of all <br /> ages and abilities. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement(MOA) <br /> with the State of Hawai`i Department of Health, Chronic Disease Prevention and Health <br /> Promotion division for these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the <br /> Operating Budget by appropriating this $45,000 to the Planning Department's DOH Complete <br /> Streets program account. <br /> The Planning Department is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee <br /> review, and be placed on the May 8, 2019 Council Agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these <br /> funds.
